Valtos has been making waves in the music scene, selling out shows and headlining festivals across the UK. Their unique fusion of traditional and electronic influences has garnered praise from critics, with Folk Radio UK describing their music as ‘like nothing you’ve heard before’ and winning them Upcoming Act of the Year at the National Trad Awards in 2022.
Their ambitious year-long ‘Valtos and Friends’ project started in January 2023 with a collaborative single and sold-out Celtic Connections show with Project Smok. Throughout the year, they have released various follow-up collaborative singles and will culminate with their biggest show to date at SWG3’s 1300 capacity Galvanizers as part of Celtic Connections 2024. They will be joined on stage by around 30 of their musical friends, well-known faces from the Scottish Trad scene. This project and show showcase Valtos’ adaptability and artistic growth while pushing sonic boundaries and is set to be a massive night in the Scottish musical calendar.
